Glucoville is a free collection of short 3D games and quizzes that help children aged 4 to 12 understand diabetes. It is made for kids living with diabetes, their brothers and sisters, their classmates and anyone who is curious.

🛡️ Safe by design

• No account, no sign-up, no chat and no free text: children never type personal information.
• Progress (stars, stickers, the avatar) is saved only on the device, in the browser. It can be erased from the sticker page.
• We do not use tracking or analytics cookies of our own.

📢 About the ads

• Glucoville is free because it shows a few ads. Ads are contextual only, never based on a child’s behaviour.
• Every ad request is tagged as directed to children, which turns off personalised advertising and remarketing.
• No ads during play, no "watch an ad to continue", and at most one short break between games every few minutes.
• Diet, supplement, dating, gambling and similar categories are blocked.
• Until the site is approved by our ad partner, ad spaces show other Glucoville games.

⚕️ How we check the facts

Messages are short and simple, and based on guidance from ISPAD, the American Diabetes Association, the NHS and national diabetes associations (sources are listed on every Learn page). Glucoville never gives doses or treatment advice: every page reminds children to follow their diabetes team’s plan. Numbers in the games (carbs, glucose ranges) are rounded to make learning easier. Every health statement is listed with its source, for review by paediatric diabetes professionals. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

🏫 In the classroom

• When a classmate has just been diagnosed, play "Myth or Fact?" together on the board.
• Teach the signs of a low with "Hypo Hero", then practise what to do.
• On World Diabetes Day (14 November), run a class quiz challenge.
• Works on interactive whiteboards, Chromebooks, tablets and phones. No login, nothing to install.

♿ Accessibility

Read-aloud buttons, large touch targets, keyboard controls, colour plus icons for highs and lows, and a choice of glucose units (mg/dL, mmol/L or g/L) in the pause menu.
