🧠 What it teaches

  • Why you change injection spots every time
  • What lumps under the skin are, and why they need a rest
  • Sensors and pump sets move to new spots too

Rotating injection sites helps prevent lipohypertrophy (fatty lumps under the skin), which can make insulin absorption unpredictable. The game uses the tummy, the thighs and the back of the upper arms (shown on the outer arm); teams also use the buttocks, especially for young children. Follow the areas and rotation pattern your diabetes team teaches, and ask them to check any lump.
