🧠 What it teaches

  • The signs that a friend feels low
  • Get a grown-up fast and never leave a friend with a low alone
  • Kids with diabetes can take their fast-acting sugar in class

Made for classmates, siblings and friends of a child with diabetes. It follows school guidance: a child having a low is never left alone or sent to get help on their own; a friend stays with them while someone fetches an adult, and the treatment comes to them: a fast-acting sugar from their own kit, in the amount their diabetes team sets. Children may treat lows and eat in class. If a child can’t swallow or won’t wake up, call emergency services and never put food or drink in their mouth.
