Glucoville is a free website of short 3D games, quizzes and Learn pages that help children aged 4 to 12 understand diabetes. Each game teaches one idea: what insulin does, why glucose goes up and down, how to spot and treat a low, which foods have carbs, or what a sensor and a pump are for.
It is made for children who live with diabetes, and just as much for their brothers and sisters, classmates and friends. Children with diabetes can see themselves in the games: the avatars can wear a sensor or a pump, and Beep, our little robot, explains every answer without ever blaming anyone.
Health facts are short, cautious and based on published guidance (American Diabetes Association, NHS, ISPAD), with sources on every Learn page. Glucoville doesn’t replace a diabetes team: every child follows their own plan.
